Kitchen

Cooking is one of the professions available in Aion. This kind of crafting requires ingredients you'll find exploring the lands of Atreia. For more information about how to gather, see Gathering. The cook, using items such as grass, fish, eggs, and meat, can create different special dishes. When eaten, these foods offer a variety of buffs.

Learning to Cook Edit

Like all professions in Aion, you learn to cook from the NPC master: Lainita (Asmos) and Hestia (Elyos). For cooking, head to the kitchen located in either of the main cities (Temple of Artisans in Pandaemonium for Asmodians and Artisans' Hall in Sanctum for Elyos). You purchase the base skill for 3500 kinah. Once you have the base skill, it is highly recommended that you start out by taking the Work Orders from the trainer to increase your crafting level. Alternatively, gathering and crafting dishes can also increase your proficiency. As with all crafts, you must talk to the Cooking Master to learn higher levels of cooking.

Normal Dishes and Tasty Dishes Edit

In general the difference between normal dishes and tasty dishes is the amount of time they last (Duration). Normal dishes last 30 minutes while Tasty dishes last 45 minutes.

  1. Preparation: Materials and reagents such as salt, sugar, and recipes much be purchased.
  2. Production: Some dishes might require multiple productions to produce.
  3. End product: You obtain your final product. There may be a rate of failure.

Work Orders Edit

Cooking work orders typically require the cooking of various meals for Pandaemonium residents.
