Reshanta Fortresses are 9 fortresses which can be controlled by the Asmodians, the Elyos or the Balaur. In a constant state of flux as the opposing sides battle to gain control over a fortress, they grant the controlling faction increased influence, a base of operations, and access to the Fortress Quartermaster, who sells items unique to each fortress, including morph designs that vary in each fortress. The closer to the core of Reshanta, the more crucial the fortress is, and the more Abyss Influence gained when your race occupies it. In addition to the Quartermaster, there is a Warehouse Keeper, a Soul Healer and a Fortress Teleporter, who will allow travel to other fortresses to help defend them. There is no obelisk at a fortress, but kisks can be placed inside. Each fortress also contains a powerful Artifact that can greatly benefit the faction that controls it. Each fortress grants access to a Fort Instance, where Abyss items such as Icons, Goblets, Crowns, and Abyss gear can be gained.

Fortress Vulnerability Edit

Each fortress will be invulnerable except during specific periods of one hour Vulnerability. With the in game map open, hovering over a specific fort reveals the status state, and what the next hour's status will be. The only time a fortress can be captured in a siege is during its Vulnerable status.

Taking control of a fortress usually requires several Alliances, and is not an easy task. To gain entrance, one of the Fortress Gates must be destroyed. Siege weapons can be of great benefit for gate destruction and against opponents inside. Alternatively, some fortresses have a secondary entrance that is not protected by a gate, but is often guarded by a heroic difficulty NPCs, requiring alliances as well.

Once inside, taking down the Aetheric Field allows access from the skies above. Once the Guardian Deity has been defeated, ownership of the fortress will be set to the victorious faction and assigned to the legion that did the most damage in the fight against the Deity.

Fortress Artifacts Edit

There are special artifacts within each fortress in Reshanta that provide faction-wide worldwide effects. These artifacts can only be activated by the controlling legion using Temporal Stone <Temporal Stones>.

Fortress Defenses Edit

  • Aetheric Fields surround the fortresses when vulnerable and protect from aerial infiltration. If the gates are breached, the Aetheric Field’s generator can be destroyed causing the field to dissipate and opening the fortress to an aerial assault.
  • Fortress Gates are the first line of defense and a main deterrent. With their high HP, gates take a great deal of punishment before being breached. Gates can be repaired with Gate Stones.
  • Gate Stones are devices within a fortress that can only be used by the controlling legion. Using Gate Restoration Stone <Gate Restoration Stones> will activate the device, and the Gate Stone will repair a portion of the fortress gate’s damage.
  • Fortress NPCs will defend the fortress at all times, including vulnerable status.
  • The last line of defense for a fortress is the Guardian Deity General. The Deity will appear in a different location depending on which fortress you are attacking, and knowing where he appears is helpful. Each Deity has different special skills, and huge amounts of HP. Once defeated, it will relinquish control of the fortress to the faction that defeated it.
  • Vitality Wells can be found in some fortresses, and will heal Daevas within two meters.
  • Sentinel's Eyes are an aerial defense which will fire on opposing faction members who get too close.
  • Iron Explosive Mines are another aerial defense which causes a large amount of damage when an enemy is close.
  • Guard Towers can be found at some fortresses, and are a ground defense that can attack 6 targets at once.
  • Aerial Bunkers at some fortresses can be used by players for protection and to defend from a distance.

Medals Edit

Control of a fortress grants silver or gold medals to the holding legion. Attacking or defending fortresses can grant medals as well, however, the type and number of medals receives is based on the grade attained during the fortress siege. This grade is determined by the fortress being defended or attacked and the number of Abyss Points acquired during the siege versus the number of points everyone else who has participated has received.
